Kevin Pilkington
Poet Kevin Pilkington will be with us during National Poetry Month for a reading a conversation about his work. Kevin is a member of the writing faculty at Sarah Lawrence College. He is the author of ten poetry collections and two novels. His collection Where You Want To Be: New and Selected Poems published by Black Lawrence Press was a 2017 Independent Publisher’s Book Award medalist. His poetry collection, Playing Poker With Tennessee Williams was published by Black Lawrence Press in 2021 and his second novel, Taking on Secrets was published by Blue Jade Press in 2022. His newest collection entitled Walking on October is forthcoming from Black Lawrence Press. His poetry has appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies throughout the country.
Kevin will be joined by several of his students from his writing workshop Just Below the Surface hosted annually at Maine Media.
