Hybrid Forms Laboratory

Taught by Freesia McKee
Sunday, June 18, 2023, 5:30 – 7:30 PM
$50 Registration Fee, Limited to 12 Participants

Each participant in this experimental, non-traditional workshop will bring one or two in-progress pieces of writing based on the hybrid prompts provided during the June 4th Corner Craft Talk by Julie Marie Wade. As a group, we'll exchange encouragement and descriptive feedback while facing the fears we may have related to sharing hybrid forms with an audience. So many of us wonder, "Is this piece too weird? Too unconventional?" and these doubts can choke the burgeoning hybrid elements emerging in our work. So, instead of narrowing the possibilities for what's on the page, this workshop will encourage us to expand in the service of truth-telling through endless formal experimentation.
